I have gone through three refugia lights in the past two weeks.  I bought the Lights of America 65 watt flood light with the twist in flourescent bulb.  The darn things keep burning out.  Has anyone else experienced this problem with these lights and what did you do to correct it?

That's the one we got months ago, without a problem......
Could something be wrong with the fixture, that makes it blow up
the bulbs?

I have noticed a serious degredation in the output of the bulb over the last couple of months. Haven't had it blow yet and it still has enough light for me and my macro, but it's a definate difference.

Marcus, i had the same problem. I went through two of them and then gave up. The first one actually exploded. The second one lit fine for about a week and then just stopped working. So i just got a 24" NO fixture from home depot (40 watts total). Im using 2 plant and aquarium bulbs which are very dim in comparison to the LOA floodlight.
