I think this fella snuck in with some blue legs I ordered in.  I haven't seen him before and I didn't order him.  I am thinking Nassarius vibex but I am not sure.  Here is a pic  (sorry it is out of focus):

Looks more like a Whelk to me. Very bad if you have clams.

I agree now that I have looked at images.  I have a clam, but the whelk is in a water bottle in my sump and can easily be removed.  Anyone want one?

I had one of those in my tank also.  When I was at fish 4 u, they had one.  I asked them what kind it was, he said it was a type of conch, and that it was aggressive.  Will kill and eat other snails and clams.  He took it out of his tank.  When I found the one in my tank, I killed it.
Vipers look cool at a distant, but be careful of the bite..its a killer!



Still to many cool stuff not enough money
