Start with a LFS.  There should be one in the city you're stationed.  Many are divided by sweet (fresh) water and salt water - so make sure before you go.  Most things are more expensive than here in the states, but availability is similar.

Good luck - keep us posted.

I have heard that the Europeans are doing so crazy awesome stuff with reefs these days! Plus I note that some of my favorite brands are from over there. You should have some excellent resources right where you are ( providing you speak foreign languages). Do you have a LFS there? Would love to hear about what they do different. Anyway, a nano would be fun. Grab a tank and throw some sand, rock and water in with an airhead and maybe a heater and get it going :)

What base are you at?  I spent more than my fair time there.  I do have to say that some of the stores there are just crazy with there fish both fresh and salt.  Keep us all updated on what you find.  And it might be good to find a local that can help you out to find a store.
