OK so I ordered my 210g tank, stand and canopy. Now I am ordering everything else. After getting a lot of opinions from all of you and some LFS and Online FS's. I think I have narrowed it down to the following. If you think they are not good decisions, please let me know. I am putting in my order in just a few days.
UV Sterilizer, dont know which to get, suggestions?
Large refug
heater or 2 smaller heaters.
I think this is a good start. I plan on getting a calcium reactor later.
Any suggestions? Tell me now before I put my order in......

I wouldn't bother with the UV just yet nor the aquapod. Though it's great to have a quarantine tank you don't really need anything better then a bare bottom 10 gal tank with a HOB filter on it. Save some money on these and buy yourself some bad-a lighting. You'll find yourself limited by your lights and want to get something better in the near future. The refractometer is a little unnecessary. Some swear by them but my cheapy red sea hydrometer works just fine and I've never once had a problem with it. Also the gap level controller is cool but $99? I would just get a kent auto top-off for $20. Good choice on the reefkeeper, I have an aquacontroller and love it to death. And two heaters are the way to go. If you have only one and it breaks down it can be a disaster but with two you have a much better chance of replacing it before the temp gets too low. Also are you planning on getting a skimmer?
Good questions, make sure you really take your time and get it all figured out before you buy.ÂÂ

The new koralia magnums are fine to use on wavemakers they would add a little to your bottom line but are great pumps.
I'd look at getting something like a 40l or 40 breeder for q-tine, especially if you plan on q-tine tangs etc.

I would watch for a used tank to use for quarantine instead of the Aquapod. I agree 40 gallon would be good. I would go with the Refractometer and definitely a controller. Make sure you research them (maybe you already have) and like the way the menus work as well as the programing. I prefer the AquaControllers but you may like the ReefKeepers better.

You don't like the icecap lighting? I have heard a lot of people swear by them.

How many T5 bulbs total are you installing over that 6-foot tank?
(your list says 36" 4- bulb T5 retro)
Now I see you also have (3) 250w 10K MHs...
IMO those 3 MHs + the T5s = plenty of light

Hmmm after doing some more reading, i dont think this will be enough water movement.... Should I go with 4 Koralia Magnum 5 UL 1650gph 8w? bigger? More? How much flow do I need? I want to put them on a wavemaker.... I want all types of corals.

Two koralia 8's would work as well, if you look around they are a lot cheaper on some sites than others, you could set them to run one at a time and then both on for a short time etc. Great choice on skimmers!!, for the money that is about the best out there, now you go up a few hundred and there are some other good choices.
