    Posted: March 23 2009 at 3:55pm

I was thinking it would sure be fun to have a new type of photo thread.  We all Oooh! and Awww! at a well kept, colorful tank.  I think that a part of that is because those who do the hobby more fully appreciate what a rare and challenging thing a "show tank" is to create and keep.

I'd like to see Pics of the other side... SW gone bad.

Did you ever have life get in the way and just let your tank go for a while?  Have pics?  What about poor stocking choices?  Have a nice Pic of your Aiptasia Farm?  Mucho Macro?  Could you host a Bristleworm BBQ?  What about a pending disaster?  Flood?  No sumps or refugiums because those are supposed to look bad. Tongue

I think we could use some light-hearted fun where we can not take ourselves so seriously for a little while.  I can see this idea dieing a really quiet RTN-style death Dead, but I sure hope it doesn't.

Everyone take 5 minutes and vacuum around their outlets.  This wasn't the result of a leak, or salt creep, or even an overloaded circuit.  This was the result of an outlet not being cleaned for 5 plus years. It was behind the tank, very difficult to reach and was just plain, out of site and out of mind.

Don't add up the $$$.  It is depressing and my tank was never the same.

BTW, I changed the outlet with one hand laying on my back with my arm stretched out from the side of the stand.  What a major PITA.
