I recently aquired this Tuamotu Maxima Clam and it's too cool not to show you guys. Its gold and baby blue, 6-7inches (looks like a small football in my nano Smile)Pics dont do it justice. Pics are under 150w 14k pheonix bulb, w/2-24w t5 actinics.

It looks much better in real life then the pictures. However the pictures are very nice man. Congrats on the new clam. You must have a great job to have one of those $400-$800 clams. Great addition to your tank!!

It is so sad to think back on it, but I served an LDS mission in the tuamotus, and we used to collect these by bags of 30 to 50 and eat them raw. Truly some amazing colors!!

I wish I had that clam it has to be my favorite by far I have seen. It looks great in person just such a nice blue and gold combo. So I know you got a better deal but still its a killer clam.

Saltybuck, think of the money you could have had 30-50 of those bad boys. Take a look at Liveaquaria under the diver den and see what they go for. It is insane.
