My snail population is getting out of control. I have about 10 batches of cerith snail eggs on my glass right now. Earlier today I noticed a very small (pea sized) astrea snail making its way around the glass. Then when I went back to find him, I saw 2 half-dime sized turbo snail in the sand! Neither of which I have purchased. They just showed up! No new rock or anything so I'm thinking that I have inadvertently created a snail reproduction clinic for a tank!

Is that possible in a fairly new tank? Has anyone else had experience with this?

I've had my tank running since July and my snails have been breeding like crazy!

I was wrong.. not 2.. 5 of the turbo looking snails. They're fast movers too for such little dudes.
