Ok well more of a really dark brown. Anyone ever seen one so dark? What do you think?

I found it the other day and have no idea where it came from. This tank never really has done well with zoanthids so I'm thinking its a morph that came from one of my lost colonies.

My guess is that it came in on the LR but hadn't really shown up because it needed some time to recover or the rock was recently moved where it could point up toward the light.
Dark Zoanthids, usually dark green, come in on LR often. A cool name, like Chocolate Crackers may make this one become very popular. Thumbs Up

Will do. I'm going to be moving it into my Nano to help them grow a little better. I've never been able to grow Zoanthids in my 225 but I am a little worried they will change color due to the new lighting when I put them in my nano. I guess we'll see.

I think I may have lost it. Over the past few weeks my tank has had some serious problems that are only now beginning to clear up. Right now it's covered in some hair algae so I think tonight after work I'll scrub it off and see if it's still there.

I'll keep you guys updated.

To anyone who's still interested. About 8 months ago I thought I lost these zoa's. quite a shame because they were pretty cool. Today I was doing some general maintenance in the tank, moved a small rock with GSP's all over it, and on the back side I found 3 more heads. No idea how they got there but I'm glad they are not lost for good. It made my night.

Nice sign me up! Whoever else gets one, we should try it out in different lighting and see what happens! Maybe they'll turn out to be sopranos haha.
