I have a couple of A. ocellaris as well as a Long Tentacle Anenome.  I've had the LTA for a year and a half and the oldest ocellaris for about 2 years.  I'm not sure if I bought a retarded one or not but he doesn't really have any interest in the LTA.  I thought these two to be compatible but could obviously be wrong.  The second ocellaris is a recent addition and hasn't taken to the LTA either.  Is there a way to convice the fish to move in?  Or at least, in the event that the older one is retarded, get the new guy to host?

Put up a picture of an A. ocellaris in a LTA on your tank so they can see it!

Or, gather the anenome fish and anenome together in a small confined space for awhile so the anenome fish realizes the anenome is ok.

Or, just give up and buy another anenome fish that is already hosting in a LTA.

Good luck, you might not be able to get them to host.  They can live without each other in our tanks.

Every night when all the lights are out, shine a flashlight on your anemone.  Do this for about 30 mins every night.  Try it for a week.... may not work.... but it may.

Any chance the fish are tank raised?  Often times people find that tank raised Anemone Fish don't take to Anemones.  I know several people who are frustrated by this.
