I would really tend to stay away from any unbranded fixtures on ebay.... either go DIY 3w Cree LED's, an Aqua Illuminations or Ecoxotic Fixture or something else of equal quality. Obviously money has to play in to something like this and just like everything else in this hobby, you get what you pay for.

I second that you don't want a no name brand cheapo fixture! spend a tiny bit more and you will be way more happy and it will last a lot longer and have a much nicer presentation and output!

What?! You pooped in the refrigerator, and ate the entire wheel of cheese?! I'm not even mad.... That's actually amazing!

There were a few nice LED fixtures at the reef fest. I like the Reef Koi lights they looked really nice. They are reasonably priced.

you could look into the used led fixtures I'm going to be selling soon. They aren't as cheap as the ebay or reefkoi ones but they are a lot nicer and have a lot better features and will last you a whole lot longer!

I had the Reef Koi Leds before my AI's. Not a fan at all. The fans were extremely noisy and ran the entire time. And like the Ai's one module was to take the place of one halide, dont think so! With Ai's and a few others the color is 100 percent adjustable unlike Reef Koi's.

Did you get a PAR meter and actually test this or are you going off what you see visually?
Our eyes are TERRIBLE at measuring how bright something is. Get the right wavelength of light and we will think it is the brightest light we have ever seen. When in reality the PAR may be very low.
