I just got a couple hairy mushroom frags, well they are about 3'' when shrivled. Just wondering where I should put them. I would like them on a rock tha is in the top middle of my tank. High light high flow. Will this be okay??

Did they come from a high light area? If not, start by placing them lower them move them up gradually.
We call it Light Acclimation.

Mushrooms are typically low light organisms, though they do well in higher light, but if placed in brighter light than they were accustomed to, they will get sunburned and will suffer.
Sunburn can kill coral.Dead

Hope this helps.

The mushrooms that are on the bottom do a lot letter than the one that's near the surface. The one near the surface is in a higher water flow and doesn't spread out as much as the ones on the bottom.

I agree with both statements. Yes, even Mark. The nice thing about mushrooms is they will thrive down low (low light areas) where most other corals won't. This provides fewer bare spots and allows for more real estate up high for high light corals.
