So I have a glass tank I am turning into a sump.... can I use acrylic baffles and just make them 1/4" short total for expansion and just silicone them in. Only reason I ask is cause I work with acrylic and have all the tools so cutting will be a breeze for me. Or just better to go with glass?

I have acrylic in my sump. I cut them myself but cut them way tighter then 1/4. I only left 1/16 space. Temp wise your sump should be very stable. Lol
