If anyone that is coming to the meeting tomorrow has a fish trap that I can use. I would appreciate it as pajamas are no fun to try and catch. Hopefully someone will have one tomorrow I may use and return.

Thanks.

If the trap doesn't work and you need a hand catching him give me a call and we can catch him tag team style.

Cardinals are one of the easiest to catch. Read the Reefkeeping Tip about catching fish the easy way, at night. Smile

Hahaha. There is a skill to it. Not so long ago I was trying to catch some of these guys (pic below) one evening. My daughter used to work at a pet shop with a large fish section, so after about 15 minutes of trying, chasing them around the tank, she asked me if I was ready to let her do it. She had them caught in a minute. LOL

I like using a fish trap. It is fun and I don't need to worry about knocking something or damaging something by chasing them around with a net. If your cardinals are like mine they will go in the trap for mysis without an issue. I would not want to catch one of my Wrasses though. I have not seen them go in a trap yet.

The WMAS has two loaner traps and i am currently the person trying to keep them available. I believe I have one, but the other has not been returned to me yet.

Everything but the pajamas are going into the trap, when I close it down and then the tang forces his way in. I swear I feed them lol

Does the trap have the false back for food? Pajamas are a lot harder than Bangie in my tank anyway. Only feed the trap while trying to catch them. Is the trap on the bottom? I have better luck on the bottom.

Be patient. Feed in the trap for a day or two to get them used to it.
