Why do anemones occasionally drop a tentacle or two? They are not caught on a circulation pump or anything as I have none in this tank.

In any of my Nem prop tanks or those that I've kept in my displays occasionally drop a tentacle. I've never given it a thought as to why but mine can be in great health and still do it. I've noticed Euphyllia do the same thing.

Mine are in great health too. I was just wondering why they would do it. It is a relief to know that it is normal.

Thanks
