    Posted: November 09 2014 at 11:09am
Hi, I purchased some fuel for my tank. It is 65 gallons and about two months old. I just noticed the refrigerate after opening. I have been using the fuel for about two weeks. Has this possibly done any harm to my aquarium? I have not noticed any problems. Is it still safe to use or should I throw it away and start with a new bottle making sure to refrigerate after opening?

Should be fine (that I used it) but throw away and start with new? What happens to it when not refrigerated?

I have used it for over five years and I don't refrigerate it I have it hooked to my doser I buy it a gallon at a time and refrigerate the gallon and fill up a 20 Oz container that stays in the cabinet where I keep the doser. Think about it was it refrigerated when you bought it?

I've never refrigerated Adam's Fuel either. Nor my own for that matter :)

Welcome to WMAS! Where refrigerating your AV Fuel is totally *optional.

*WMAS probably recommends following all product manufacturers directions.
