Yes, that is a good stress free way to catch fish.

Did you pay the $5 on Ebay, or did you make it yourself?

The $5 only came with the plans, I had to build the damm thing myself. Angry

That reminds me of the small wire fish traps I used to make as a kid and set in ponds out by my house to catch small fish!  I  used to catch a lot of fish that way, now all of those ponds have houses built over them and I found out that it is against the law to use that type of trap to catch wild fish!
What?! You pooped in the refrigerator, and ate the entire wheel of cheese?! I'm not even mad.... That's actually amazing!

My wife made a trap like that to catch a small crab with poisonous flesh (Atergatis floridus) that she named "Hitler",  that was terrorizing our 58 gallon lagoon tank for a while. It hitchhiked in on some Indonesian rock. It killed our Mandarain and Red Scooter Dragonet and it was turning over corals and throwing them off of the rocks. I put it in a ten gallon tank I had in the basement back at the house in Missouri, but my wife doesn't want to take the time to do water changes, etc., so it's probably dead by now. She called me at work one day and she was very excited and proud of herself for finally catching Hitler. We saw a picture of one of those traps on the net somewhere and she was determined to catch it.

How big of a fish is going to be able to get caught in this trap?  Does using a 3 liter bottle with the bigger mouth work for say... A coral beauty ;)  Thanks

Cut the very top of the bottle off until there is a big enough hole for the fish you are trying to catch to get through.  When I wanted to catch my Half Black Angel I just cut a big hole in the top to where all of my fish could get it and out.  Then when the Angel finally swam in to get some food I yanked it out of the tank.
