Im wanting to start on a clean up crew for my 225. I am most likely gonna put fish in it that dont get along with inverts. like a dogface puffer, coral beauty, racoon angelfish, and filefish. Not sure what else yet. So what can I put in there that will be good?

Longspine Urchins and some sea cucumbers are going to be your best bets as far as longevity goes.

Do you mean Raccoon Butterflyfish? It might be difficult to find the angel. Depending on which it is, would determine what kind of coral you could keep. Yes there are a lot of coral that can be kept with those fish. Soft coral for sure. Coral filter the water and add variety and movement to the LR.

Actually those fish are not that bad with inverts. Large snails and large Hermits can live with those fish. The Puffer, if it starts to show interest, can be trained to stay away from inverts like snails and Hermits.

Filefish in general are shy and slow. They are known to have trouble competing for food so you might want to research that choice a little more. Just trying to help. Smile

Wink Speaking of helping, the "fish police" are wondering what your planned schedule is for adding these fish. This is what the WMAS is about. It's about helping hobbyists to prepare to keep marine tanks healthy with the right environment, the right food and by adding things at the right time and in the right order. You may end up doing the opposite of what I advise, but I have to put it out there anyway.Smile

Well I bought that LR with all that majano in it. Well long story short... I got two raccoon butterfly fish (sorry didnt mean angel) to help with the eating also I got the file fish I like him alot and he is holding his own well so far. But these were in my war against the anemone. I also was using kalk to kill them well it was a endless battle they just kept coming outta holes everywere. So I talked to another guy that bought this rock he used a sodering iron (sp) So I tried that today OMG the smell almost made my wife kick me out.well anyway as im doin this I see a piece of glass in the rock then another then another....... omg it is full of chunks of glass Confused. So at this point I said F it. Took all 80 pounds to the car wash and washed the shit outta it and looked real careful in the piece I found the glass. no other pieces had it just the one. So anyway I got those fish and they are doin good I had some other live rock i had in a tub with heater and power heads with dead rock that I added to it. Had this goin for a month now. so im now adding that into my tank. And then I will do the same process with my rock I just power washed. I stopped the kalk before adding the fish though and made sure the readings were good.I also want to add a mower blenny at some point the tank is goin through its brown algea stage it is everywere.
