this crab will not stay off my shelf . i have knocked him off 5 or 6 times.
he went 2 days without moving from his spot. i knocked him off a minute ago,
went back to the fish room and there he was treking up the rock back to his throne.
i wouldent care but he picks the same place every time, so in that spot you
can see a faint white spot. the size of his shell. all the polyps are there, just
a little whiter because it does not get as much light.

any one else have this kind of experience?

My electric blue and scarlet reef hermits will climb to the top of my corals and sit there for days while they molt.

My sister see's me doing this with my crabs, and moving them to different parts of the tank or putting them in the sump....her reply "you can play god with whats in your tank, but you can't play god with their free will"  My response,  "Take this" as i throw the crab at for eating my SPS.

I bet that crab is a  Maroon reddish left handed crab huh?  I got rid of a bunch from my tank. They would graze for a day and then go back to their coral of choice and stay in the branches for days on end without moving then graze and then do the ruotine over and over.
