So today sometime I guess my condy decided to move himself directly on the heater in the tank.  He's not looking to good.  Looks like he got burnt cause there is definatly a mark on him where the heater was.  Just wondering how you know when a condy dies?  Does he detach himself and start floating around?  I know that condy's are actually pretty hardy after I googled this and read about all the things people have had thier condy's do and pull through.  Just can't find how you know they have crossed over.

When they die they melt and disappear... gross.  If they do that you will want to run carbon and if it's a small tank do a water change.
Hope it pulls through.

So my condy is a bit inflated this morning which is good.  Parts of him still doesn't look good.
Was curious if anyone knew what that little strand of dark purple is?  I saw a little piece of it on my fungi plate about a week ago but it eventually fell off.

Looks like a flat tenticle... Is it possible the condi got too close to the plate?
If the plate and the anemone fought, guess we know who won and who ran off with their tenticles under their foot... LOL
I am guessing they will be just fine.

No the plate is small and they are on opposite sides of the tank.  The condy has never been near the plate.

Have you noticed how colorful the tentacles become when they "deflate"?
I bet it was next to the Plate coral but you just didn't see it there because it moved on.
Next question is, how long will it be before it gets sucked into that HOB intake we can see in the pic.Cry I'd be happy to describe how that intake can be modified to keep the Condy out.
If you would like to show a full tank shot we may be able to offer some advice.
