I just bought this bubble tip anemone on Saturday and it keeps crawling underneath my rocks. This morning I found it under a rock and it was all  shriveled up. So I moved it to a spot on top of the rocks and placed a piece of krill on it and it opened its mouth and appears to be trying the eat it. It is still shriveled up and doesn't look very good. Is this normal? What should I do? I know they like to do their own thing but I don't want it to crawl under a rock and die. Can someone please help me!

Thank You!

So I think I figured out why the bubble tip anemone shriveled and was unhappy.  I notice the water seem a little warmer than normal. So I check the water temp and it was almost 82 degrees which is up 4 degree from 78 where I normally keep it. So I check the heat and the only thing I can think is that I accidentally turn the temp up yesterday evening while clean the tank. So I turned it back down. After the water temp fell back down to 78 the anemone start looking much better and is now looking quite normal and happy. As for why it keeps crawling under my rocks I still don't know!

bubble tips have a tendency to move and hide when they arent happy. If you just added him to the tank, then it is perfectly normal for him to hide.  When I bought my first bubble tip years ago, it hit for about 3 months before I saw it again.  Since then it has split numerous times and is still very happy and healthy.

My bubble tip has been hiding at night after the lights go out. I was wondering if the hermits were mess with it at night and that was why he would squeezing all the way down into a holes in my rocks. I don't have a lot of rock but what I do have has no crevises just holes that all tunnel through the rock. So I was wondering since he has been anchoring his foot into these holes if the hermits at night or even during the when he gets mad sometime and shrivels up are messing with his foot from the other side of the hole. Has anyone ever heard of this or seen this happen before?

Thank you all for your help!
