No, i wouldnt be to worried. I got a niger trigger a while back and after being fully introduced and using an aclimation box, he hid for at least three days. he would skip out on the feedings usualy. And to this day, he still is a little shy once in a while. But yours is in a new home, and damsles are pretty aggressive when it comes to territory, but did you use an acclimation box??

Unfortunately, cleaner wrasses don't actually eat the ich parasite. The white spots that you see are not the parasite itself but damaged skin above the parasite. The cleaner wrasse will eat the damaged skin and you will notice a reduction in the white spots but the parasite is still there. You should QT the hippo and treat with hyposalinity or copper. If you don't QT, then the rest of your fish may get ich too, including your new cleaner wrasse.

No I don't use an acclimation box i just put the bag in a Betta tank/container and drip him and pull him out with a net
