Where is the best place to buy the stuff? I'm in Riverton, but I commute to Ogden sometimes so it could be somewhere up that way too. Looking for best prices, from those who have bought before, and also experiences you've had with the product before I go out and buy it.
Recommend it? Something out there work better? Thanks everyone.

White vinegar. Inject into base and they dissolve.

I like aip-x better than vinegar of you have slot of them or they are hard to get at. The vinegar can drop your ph pretty fast in a small tank. Also many times the aiptasia retracts into a crevis before you can inject it with a needle full of vinegar and the aip-x will not make the anemone retract immediately.

Really you can get it anywhere. I usually get mine from Fish 4 U but that's just me. It's like $9 for a bottle and it comes with the syringe and two different tips for dosing.

yes it works on majanos. You just need to make sure to cover the disk well with the slime. be careful not to flow over and onto flat corals like montis or it can kill some of the polyps...dont ask.

Aptasia-X wiped out the majano's in my tank in just 2 application. (You keep working on them until all of them are gone.) I had about 30-40 of them in my tank, used Aptasia-X once a week for 2 weeks and haven't seen one since. That was almost a year ago.
I love the stuff.
If Fish 4 U has it for $9 I'd say get it there, but I'd pay $15 or more for it if I had to.
As thefu said, cover the oral disk completely, but don't jab the
anemone with the syringe. Just let the stuff gently flow out of the
syringe and on the disk.

That stuff is amazing. I got it at The Aquarium. Too bad I tried to go au naturale and bought 4 mildly worthless and not showy peppermint shrimp when I could have bought a bottle of this for less. Even have a couple popping up and those things won't even touch it, but they are entertaining on some level how they dance, but I'd really rather have others but I have these in addition to my two firecrackers and cleaner.

Another way to go is with berghia nudibranchs. I have a few in my tank and they have eaten all the aiptasia in my tank and have started laying eggs. I have a couple aiptasia don in my overflow where I really can't get to them but any small ones that crop up are gone within a couple hours. It's pretty satisfying to watch the little guys chow down on them.

I've never tried berghias. When I had my aptasia problem, I went the (more traditional?) route of Aptasia X and 4 or 5 peppermints, and it worked like a charm. I zapped the bigger ones and the peppermints took care of the little ones on their own. I think Fish 4 U was having a sale on peppermints at the time--I remember them only being like four bucks each. So, I was out maybe thirty bucks to get rid of the aptasia, and it was worth every penny! I hate that stuff!

+1 for White Vinegar at Mark's recommendation. Just wiped out 15 or so majanos and Aips with one session. My Ph didn't change noticeably in my 120.

It does work, but I spent a lot of money on trying to get rid of them and it seemed that there was always another one hiding out of sight. I would suggest peppermint shrimp. It worked for all three of my tanks.

I am a fan of the Peppermint Shrimp. It takes a while for them to eradicate the problem if there are lots of aptasia but as long as your not over feeding the tank they will eat it up. I used to treat with Joes Juice and it worked great but they would keep coming back after a few weeks. I have 2 peppermint shrimp in each of my tanks and no signs of aptasia for 4 months.
My dad added a Copper Banded Butterfly Fish to his tank and it eradicated the problem as well. the fish is growing great in his tank but some people have difficulty keeping them alive.

The Peps won't eat majanos. I used Joe's Juice to kill a few in my Dads tank. It killed them with one application. a few weeks later I saw a couple more and hit them again. You just have to be vigilant. As soon as you see one nuke it. If you see something that might be a majano nuke it ASAP. From what I hear they're miserable once they become entrenched in the tank.

Sorry to hear they are so bad. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any other treatment than Kalk Past or similar product applied as often as they are seen.
If you have another tank you may want to sterilize it well and set it up with fresh Saltwater. Then do a vinegar dip of the rocks to kill the majanos and move them to the new tank. Once you get some rock and new sand into the new tank slowly start moving corals and fish doing a dip and keeping an eye out for any majanos that might make it to the new system. I don't know what else to suggest other than scrapping all the rock and sand and starting over.
Good Luck.

Unfortunately Berghias won't eat majanos. But for anyone with some aiptasia I have some new berghias that I need to find homes for if I can catch them.
