I'm hooking up my 50 mg ozone unit today on my frag tanks (90 gal) it will be controlled by a neptune. What setting should I start out with? and how often should I turn it up?

For ozone questions I just call Silcox and ask him.

for ozone you want about 5-10 mg/hr for every 10 gal. on a 200 gal tank you would run about 75-80 mg/hr with a orp of 250. I hope this can help you.

jeff ... I started my tank out pretty slow and just ramped it up over a couple of weeks. I run an ORP of 300 now, but started pretty low at around 150. I have a red sea 50mg unit and its set to 50% and runs off my controller.

Just remember to keep your ORP probe clean! You would be amazed at how quickly the build up of organics on the probe will skew the reading.

I clean mine weekly also. Another big factor , is to dry your beads in your air dryer often for better ozone production. My generator is set at 80%  and the set point at 365.

Brad why 365? I thought 300 was where it needs to be.

Just from what I've read, optimul is 375 to 390, with danger limits beginning around 450-500 , so I just want to make sure I never reach above 400, because you can never 100% trust your probe IMO.

I got it all hooked up!! the orp started out at 155 and 24hours later it is at 335! Is this possible? can you buy fluid to calibrate the probe? If so where? By the way, the polyp extension is awesome now!

Wow that is fast! You can soak your probe in vinegar for 10 - 15 mins.

I was having trouble increasing my orp. I hooked up an air dryer and now
it goes exactly where i set it. My tank room stays pretty humid though.
just FYI
