I agree, we need to know what the tank looks like and what the Alk and Ca are.
Some of what you are seeing is stress of being in the new tank, but if the tank is real healthy, generally fish look better upon introduction. If the tank is not so healthy it may take days or weeks for fish to look better than they did at the LFS.
I'm assuming from your newness on this MB that you are a beginning hobbyist. Have you read the Tip about adding new fish? Click on the Reefkeeping Tips below and look for "Secrets of adding new fish, fish training and the Miracle of Garlic Oil"

i dont have a picture of the tank i wish i did. its a 110g, i have crushed coral on the bottom instead of sand. i bought it about 1 year ago and i came with a puffer and clown fish. the salinity is 1.024? i checked that yesterday. i acclimated him and a lunar wrasse that i bought for about 4 1/2 hours using a drip line type system. i didn't have time to go test my water because i work weekends but i checked it a couple weeks ago and the guy from marine aquatics said it was ok. yes, i'm very new to this stuff haha.

You acclimated the fish for 4.5 hours? For a fish I usually only do 30 min . . .

Haha i was told to acclimate for a way way long time! i was told that the temperature on the water should change like.. 3 degrees an hour. I was told the longer you acclimate, the better the turnout will be on the fish?

My idea of acclimating that works every time, well at least for me.  Let the bag sit in the tank for about 30 minutes or so to let the temp match.  Catch the fish in the bag with my hands and drop it in the tank.

I drip acclimate for 15 minutes with the bag in tank water, turn off the lights and toss him in.

my friend went to the meeting at the living aquarium when the guy came from byu idaho, he said that the guy who gave the presentation was talking about how when he acclimates things he makes a drip type system and he acclimates for 4.5 hours? since then, i've done it and my friend has and we havent had problems with our fish. when i first got my tank i bought a striped puffer and a sailfin tang and tried acclimating them in the bag and they only lasted 1 day.

Ah that would be Forest Gahn. He originally gave that talk last year at the MWRF. He DOES drip SOME things 4.5 hours but not fish! He is an expert on echnioderms (Sea stars, cucumbers etc.) and that advice is spot on for those kind of inverts. 4.5 hours is a long long time to acclimate a fish and unlike sea stars don't need the extra time acclimating.

I do drip acclimate my fish but only for about 30 minutes. Inverts I drip for way longer. After listening to Forests talk I do drip even longer then I used to for certain inverts.

Ya I have to agree with Jwoo. When he was here for MWRF he talked about acclimating inverts for 4.5 hours. Not fish!

I emailed him to see what he says so I will post back here or have him post since I do believe he is on the board.
