Good afternoon peeps,
I've been running my reef keeper lite for about 2.5 years on my 12 gallon with zero issues. Today as I was getting ready for work I noticed that my lights were on which is an unusual time of day for them to be on so I checked my controller settings and everything looked right. it even said that the channel my lights are plugged into was "off" meaning that the channel is stuck on.
I've read online this happening to people that have something plugged in that draws a lot of amps or something like that and it doesnt allow the channel to switch off but I've had this set up like this for so long with zero issues I'm wondering if its something else. I've reached out to Digital Aquatics and havent received a response yet.
I dont want to factory reset this thing but maybe I'll have to. anyone else run into this issue before?
The relays that turn the outlets on and off are only rated for a certain number of on/off cycles and then they start failing. I would suspect that you are running into that issue on that one outlet. I have had a similar thing happen with one of my older apex's as well. Neptune will replace the outlet and send it back for a small fee. I'm not sure if the same thing is true for other companies and RKL's.
You could also move the program to another outlet that still works and plug something into this outlet that stays on all the time.

I think you're right Krazie. DA just got back to me and said it sounds like I need to send in the PC4 for servicing. I'll find out what costs are and what not and keep everyone posted here for future reference.
