Hi all,
I'm intrigued by the possibility of replacing my horrible twin 24 inch NO Flourescents with a pair of 48 inch VHO flourescents running off of a WH7. I have a few questions though:
My tank is an ALL GLASS 75, measuring 48 inches wide. The canopy measure 48 inches wide internally, as it fits over the top of the tank. Will I be able to fit 48 inch bulbs in the canopy, with the endcaps attached, or is this setup what 46.5 inch bulbs are made for?
About the URI bulbs with the internal reflectors: Does using them negate the need for an external reflector?
What bulb config would be recommended. I know I probably want a "blue" bulb and a "white" bulb, but specifically what should I look for.
PS - I'm going to start off with a pair of bulbs running off of one WH7, with another pair and WH7 to be added later. This is because of economic reasons, and I figure I can get away with it considering the enormous benefit my tank will see from the first pair right off the bat.
