I just got a new MP10 quiet drive today. Its pretty dang quiet, very impressive!

But I want to make sure I have it setup right. I have a 24 G aquapod and as far as I can tell the glass is 5mm thick. Im not very sure on my mm to inch conversions so can someone tell me if they think I should use the included rubber spacer?

Also does anyone know why gyre mode does?

Thank you!

I buy, sell and restore pinball machines. Got one in the basement? ;)

Thank you... I know I should have been able to figure that out on my own but I just wanted to be sure. The price of a new mp10 is high enough that it would be a major problem if it died. This was a special treat for us. Since the tank is going in the bedroom and the gf is very sensitive to noise I figured it was worth it. :)

You'll definitely love it - I've been running a beta one on my fusion 30 for the last month (still waiting for the final spec driver to reach my door) and it's been significantly quieter.

Do you know what the gyre mode does? Is this a good mode in a mixed nano?

"Gyre Mode" essentially is just a renamed function for Long Pulse Mode according to the guys at EcoTech. In my fusion 30 I still use Reefcrest, Tidal Swell, Nutrient Export and then constant speed at night.
