Does anyone do a NPS coral tank? after seeing the TOM on the RC I'm tempted to try a nano at home. Thoughts?

not that I know of they require alot of feeding from what I have seen I would be happy to help get a way to get that sorted out you would want some kind of auto feeding system I think it would be a cool setup to do I have thought about doing it

There are different DIY auto feeders for these tanks. Usually they use some sort of dosing pump since the food is for the most part small particle/liquid form. Of course those pumps can get expensive. I'm tempted to figure out a drip method similar to dosing a 2 Part or something like that.

I would think you could use some aqualifters they are cheap they don't have nearly the consistent flow rates as peristaltic pumps used in 2 part but I don't think they would need to be although some of these foods need to be kept refrigerated if you have room for a small fridge near by

I saw a cool auto feeder for this type of set up that won reef of the month on R2R I think last month. Anyway the guy had a mini fridge with the dosers and foods inside and the dosers dosed through a return pipe that he ran straight through the mini fridge so everything stayed cool. It was way cool. http://www.reef2reef.com/forums/reef-month/45090-reef-month-july-2010-a.html Anyway I am probably confusing the whole thing check it out here.
