So my turbo snail doesn't seem to be doing too great. Keeps falling off the glass and I'm having to constantly tip it right side up. Now he hasn't moved in a few days and I'm sure he is dying. I was wondering if this aiptasia looking thing attached to the shell has anything to do with it. I noticed it around the same time the snail seemed to be struggling. It looks as if it is growing through a small hole in the shell but I'm not certain.

Very unlikely that little polyp is causing any trouble. Most likely it's simply a hitchhiker like the other things we can see on the shell in that pic.
Other snails in the tank? struggling?
Is it starving for lack of algae?
Is it struggling for lack of other food (Alk, Ca, Mg) or proper water conditions(Ammonia, Nitrate)?
Is it struggling because of a too high PO4 level?

A pic of the tank would help.

Aloha,
Mark  Hug

The pic looks like a hydroid. The snail could be from either water conditions or lack of food like Mark said.

It's the only snail in the tank. I had two other smaller snails a few months ago that didn't last long. There seems to plenty of algae in the tank.

Unfortunately I don't have any chemical testing kits yet so I'm not sure where my phosphate, ammonia, and Nitrate levels are. The only thing I've changed in the tank is added an LED light, and got my sump up and running with the overflow (white PVC in the pic) and a protein skimmer. It seems like the snail started having a hard time after this.

As a general question, do they need different kinds of algae in their diet? Should I be worried about adding any extra food other than the algae growing in the tank?

Looks to me like it could very well be PO4 poisoning; too high of Phosphate. Get some GFO and run it in a reactor or go the much easier route with Activated Alumina in a media bag. I could sell you just the right amount of AA for just a few bucks. Are you anywhere near Murray? Call/text me.
