Topic: How often do you change your Ro/Di filters? Posted: February 13 2013 at 6:45pm |
Just wondering how often everyone changes there Ro/Di filters? I've been using mine for about a year now and still get 0 tds water out of them and have good pressure. Is there any reason to change them out before either my tds goes up or I lose pressure?

It'll depend based on your incoming water quality, usage, and water pressure/temp. I only get about 4 months out of mine, but I go through a ton of water. As long as you're getting low numbers that you're confident in, there's no reason to change that I know of.

That's what I thought, just wanted to double check. I'm getting 2-3 tds going into the last stage and 0 coming out on a brs 5 stage system.

Reef'd Up lives close to me and we are on the same water line. I've run my RO filters for a year. I make about 30 gallons a week, more when I forget to turn it off. Lately I've been helping a friend out and have really gone through the water. Mine gives me 2 ppm after the RO and 1 ppm after the DI. I don't see a reason to change them with that performance.
