Topic: LF CO2 services up North Posted: December 08 2015 at 2:23pm |
Does anyone have a good source for CO2 refills that isn't in Salt Lake? I've looked into a couple of places but they don't seam to like to deal with individuals trying to get their tanks filled. They want to sign you up for a monthly service using their tanks and equipment and I don't need that. Please let em know. Thanks Krazie

Have you looked at Humphries?
I have a couple of 20 pound tanks I take in and get switched out all the time.

I haven't because they are further south than Salt Lake. I'm looking for something in the Layton. Ogden area.

Go to Norco, they fill my bottles all the time and can even just swap your 20 for a full one if you aren't picky about the tank you get back being a different color.

I contacted them. I'm still waiting to hear back. I can't fit a 20lb bottle. I have 2 5lb bottles that I need filled.
Is it a drop them off and come back once they are filled or can I wait for them to fill them?

They should be able to fill on site, while you wait for a small bottle.
I have a fill station I bought, but the sued to fill my 1 pound bottles without a problem, just walk in.
Have you thought about having a paintball vendor or hardware store that sells paintball for CO2?

No I haven't thought about either of those. My cylinders don't have the same connection as a paint ball gun. Would they still have the adapter to fill my bottles?

Just a little update on what I found that might be helpful to others that are looking. I found a company in Salt Lake Called Fizz N Foam. They do CO2 and Helium refills for businesses. I contacted them about filling tanks for residential customers.
Here is the response I got: Right now we don't
have a "store front" to refill cylinders. We do however go directly to
you and can fill your tank from your location. We will use a Siphon 50
lb. cylinder to fill your 5 lb. We will use a small scale to make sure
the fill is accurate.
Pricing for cylinders 5 pounds or less is $14.99 each.
Delivery fee is $10.
You can pay cash or by card. If this works for you we can setup a time to come out to you.
For
our larger restaurants and bars that we service we cover Spanish Fork
to Brigham City. Based on where you live I can give you a good idea of
when I can come by for your fill.
DID YOU READ THAT? They come to your house! It costs a few dollars more than other places I checked but it would have taken at least an hour to drive somewhere, get them filled and drive back. Well worth the $10 in my book.
Needless to say I scheduled a time and they came and filled my cylinders for me in my driveway. Took about 20 minutes and they were done.
I highly recommend giving them a try. They only deal in food grade CO2 so no worries about Benzine or other contaminates in the fill.
Hope that helps someone else looking for this info!

Oh and tell them that you heard about it from me on our forum. He's trying to track what impact this initial sale and post have for him. Thanks!
