I did some reading about the fish that eat brown flatworms.  It mentioned that this guy was one of them so I thought I would try it out.  Both of my tanks have lots of pods and LR so I figured I would try it and see if it would be okay.  I must have hit the jackpot with this little guy.  About 10 minutes after it was in the tank, it started eating the flatworms  Thats only half the story!  I decided to try some mysis shrimp.  Not only did it try them but it is a little pig!  I know it is only day one but it looks like were off to a great start.  I will hold off feeding any more shrimp for a while because I need it to eat the flatworms so we will see how that effort goes.  Here are a couple of pictures.

Great find, and a beautiful fish.  Sounds like he will keep your pests in control.

He is a beauty! I'd also say you are very fortunate to have one that eats so well. I really want one but I am holding out until the tank is a little older.

Those are beautiful fish. One of my favorites! It has been my experance that they are hit or miss as far as you either get one that does well or you get one that doesnt live to long. good luck

Gahlen,
Awesome.  We have a target mandarine also, and love it.  We have a fuge over the tank just for him and he has always been nice and plump.  It is nice with enough pods because we never have to feed him, not that he would eat anything we have easily anyways.  They are great fish.  I hope he eradicates your flatworm population.
