Hey all,

I have been there numerous times and im not impressed. First off your live rock comes out of california, and your not diver direct. Your special list direct.. I.e. last weeks fish. Just because you havent seen it doesn't make it rare.. Another thing , i bought a tree sponge for 49.99 it later deteriorated because you put it in a wet paper towel. To my knowledge and many other more experienced aquarist there supposed to be bagged under water. Even tried to knock all the air out of the sponge. Shouldnt he know the products he sells. Cant even set up a neptunes let alone answer questions... Remember this is the guy caught on camera wallking around aqautic dreams when they werent there.


       I did like your raffle, as i won the led pendant but you gave me. old used cables with the grounds broke off. Whats that about? Aslo i spend over 4 hundred there and your add says for ever "100" spent you get a "15" dollar. Well i got 15 off of something for all that money..

    I bought a aquamax media reactor. Didnt notice the pump was broke. And after all the searching you gave me a manuel to a zoivut media reactor. Totally different. Sorry to say but what a waste of time and money.


Oh and you shouldn't talk **** on people "cough" brandon at zoanthids.com... Or erics tanks "cough". My opinion there way better to deal with then bill aka im to cool and your poor. Thats why i habe spent 6 grand and counting with eric....

I love the "fully cured" live rock that sits in boxes (not water) at the store which obviously needs to at least be put in some buckets after you buy it to cycle off/out the shipping die off before you add any sizable amount to an established system but they told me to "just add it to your tank" even after I said I had fish and tank was already cycled.
Every consumer ultimately should do their own homework and take their own precautions but had I listened to them (like Im sure some people do) and added the rock I got to my system it would have been an immediate (and expensive) crash (ammonia went off my test kit range in my holding buckets).
I tried to leave a review on the rock (which I do think is awesome rock but shouldnt be sold to customers and advised to add directly to an established system because its "fully cured") but they evidently dont post 3 star reviews as it might impact sales.
If you read their website and had never been to the store you probably have the impression their rock is always held in a holding bin of water and any die off from shipping to their store is at least partially cycled off/out but that simply isnt what I saw or experienced.
I understand this rock might sell so fast that unboxing it at the store might be pointless but don't sell it as a "add directly to your tank" product unless that tank is still cycling or its a small amount of rock that the already established system can handle. Still I like that its a place I can dive a few miles to and buy ocean critters that came from thousands of miles away for my enjoyment.

Ive been there once over a year ago. They seemed okay but i wasnt in there for very long. Ive read a lot of negative things about these guys on here which is why ive never gone back.

ERI FISH WHOLSALE IS NOT DIVER DIRECT, just cause you may have a few connections doesnt mean diver direct false advertisement, Nd knowledge. Walt smith rock is not diver direct rock, anyone smart knows you dont let it just sit in boxes on the floor of your store stinking up the place. There is alot of bad stuff on rocks as well as good. Its also funny how he will post on the forum I have a lot of calls asking this or that or yes the achillies sold right away when no one even asks its lik e talking to your self.

I couldn't agree more. I went there to get some stuff, knew what I wanted but had some questions. I could have been in and out of there in 10 mins but I was waiting around for nearly an hour before I got what I wanted. And I was second rate because he was busy talking to a groupie that wasn't even buying anything. When I bring up that place one thing always comes up... That guy is a ****

My issue was the first 3 times I wanted to buy something I called to see if they had it and after driving there the price magically grew to 2x what I was quoted on the phone. If they want to play the "I didn't understand (The Dumb Card) what you meant" then I will treat them as such. I have never been back since. I was also told that they sell to "All" the LFS and was even given Pet's & Such as one of them so I decided to go see their prices and they were cheaper than LR&R. How funny that was. I will never visit LR&R again. That's my story...

Customers should be able to review their experiences with vendors.  The difference between  a store critiquing another store vs a customer critiquing a store is completely different.  I for one think it is important that experiences are shared so that people are forewarned about the practices of a business.  A customer review is untainted as the customer has nothing to gain by sharing their opinion/ experience.  A store who does the same thing is attempting to drive business in their own doors.

Well someone was unhappy, just though i should reply to this since my store is being slammed, first off we are a diver direct company, our Florida live rock is the rock we are know for which is collected by our own divers in Florida, but yes we do bring in many import live rocks that pretty much all come through california like allot of livestock does as well, however we also bring in many livestock shipments from diver direct companies as well, as far as Saying something is a rare coral or fish it probably is if i am saying that its very hard to get or hasnt been seen for a long time in the hobby,  as far as walking around aquatic dreams goes, if it wasnt for me stopping by to check out the place when they were apparently closed but the door was unlocked who knows who else could have walked in, at least i was able to notify the police that someone apparently didnt lock there doors, also there are some species of sponges that are not effected by air and the boring and tree sponge happens to be 2 of those sponges, which we do sometimes wrap in wet paper towel for short transport and have never had an issue until you, i can tell you the sponge did not die because of the way we bagged it. your tank parameters is a different discussion. I do know how to setup a neptune system because i have personally owned the neptune Jr as well as an apex so not sure what that comment is about,  also if you received bad cables with the led pendant you won just call us and we will take care of that for you no problem, as far as the media reactor manual goes , you bought the display model and i apologize if we grabbed the wrong instruction manual, human error, also dont ever say that i talked badly about anyone like eric or brandon when i did not, i am good friends with eric and think he is a great guy and as far as brandon goes i hardly know him other than he has been in the shop a few times, never have i ever said anything derogatory about either of those people, also if you are so unhappy with us why dont you stop by and personally let us know, i have never even got one email or phone call from you, i can tell you that we would not be in business if we are so bad, but everyone is entitled to their opinion, and you will always get people that love to jump on something like this and add there negative comments, but if this was a good comment post you would get very few that want to say what a great experience they have had here, just how it goes with posts like these,

I'm not a liar and apperently being in the mikitary has given me mor integritythen you. I know what you said and what was done. As far as my parameters. Tjere perfect. And always consteng. And i woukd put them up agaonst your tanks anyday but thats another diacussion. You have to many excusez. I walked back in and got the right cables. I'm not here to fight only share my ****ty experience along with otger members of this respected voard. Your full of crap on the sponge. It wasjustthespot i couldnt get the air out of the rest of it did fine and actually grew in the weeks i had it.

Reviews on stores are fine but when people start throwing insults around that's when a thread gets locked. Direct insults are against the forums rules.
