Has anyone kept a parrotfish for any considerable length of time? Ive heard they are difficult and am looking for tips on its care.

I have a bicolor parrot (Cetoscarus bicolor) in my 180 gallon. The tank has a lot of algae growth and lots of live and dead coral for it to eat. It was eating the one acropora that I didn't want it to touch so I took it out. Its active and swims around most of the day. It readily accepts frozen food (all types ive tried). Oh and it likes to mow down my seagrass . Oh well, whatever makes him happy.

I would say that in general parrotfish are very easy to keep.  They graze on algae and are typically disease free and easy to acclimate/accomodate.
