Reproduction:  Reproduction can be sexual but is often encountered in
the form of asexually produced daughter colonies, called anthocauli.
These asexual bits grow and break off a parent, making their lives on the
bottom separately.

I don't know whether Improdigal and Scuba Dave's baby Fungia are true anthocauli because they started because the parent died back. But they are nice anyway.

I believe the anthocauli similar to the one pictured below are still available from Coral Farmer in Ogden. PM me for more info.

Scubadave's little plates are awesome.  The plate is purple and the polyps are a light green.  Pick one up if you get a chance at the next meeting.  Thanks Kym and Dave!

scubadave,
are your plates the same as the ones from improgdigal's?
how much are they and for what size?
also why does mine have 2 hemispheres and 2 mouths?
Will it eventually split, if so and one is a daughter why are they equal
size?
thanks

The plate is purple and the polyps are a light green

are your plates the same as the ones from improgdigal's Real Close

why does mine have 2 hemispheres and 2 mouths Some of mine were fragged with two and three on the same rock and I was going too brake them apart when they got larger but some wanted them that why

how much are they and for what size? asking $15 to $20 or a frag of something we don't have very flexible though, They range from an eraser head to a dime in size now but I'll keep them and let them grow as large as you like or you can watch them grow, they are growing fast

bugzme,fisher32,Xacttech,dnellans,coreyk

Your on the list !

P.S. Thanks Susan and you're very welcome hope you enjoy
