on my 225 it has cloudy glass when empty, but full it looks good. I'd like to clean it for selling purposes, what could i use safely? ------------- I will just give my warning that your system will flood, bulbs will burn out, and things will take continuous maintenance... get over it. Magna |

That doesn't always work. It's weird. I have a tank with the same condition and vinegar didn't do it even after sitting on it for an hour. Doesn't sound like calcium deposits to me if it looks clear when full. Are you sure it's not just micro scratches? If it is deposits and vinegar doesn't remove them (I'd also try some diluted muratic acid) then it might be silicate deposits. If neither of Jon's methods work, it might be etched. In that case you would have to have it polished. ------------- 220G with 30G sump, SPS/LPS. RoboTank Controller. ===================================== why am I always the stem?
