There has been some modest talk in the past of battling Aptasia with Pickling Lime.
I have been using Joe's Juice with success and it seems clear to me that JJ is quite concentrate.

If one were to use Pickling Lime in this application, what would be an appropriate mix concentration, and what would be the risks, Ph and otherwise, of using it?

Thanks.

My opinion is that Joe's Juice is just pickling lime mixed with a little water.  I tested it for calcium content and pH in the past and it sure looks like kalkwasser.  To use your own mixture, just mix up kalkwasser with a little water (about the same volumes as joe's juice) and dose.

Do you think Joe's Juice contains something besides the kalk?

I didn't dare come right out and say that, but that is what I was thinking, or at least suspecting.

Thanks!

I found it even more potent if you mix the pickling lime with Lemon Juice instead of water.  That's the mixture I've had the best luck with.
