I was just wondering everyones experiece with the Orange or Red Gorgonians? How difficult are they to keep and what do they need to do well? Is feeding them daily with micro sized fish food going to keep them happy?

I've got a yellow that is doing great. I don't know about special food, but I feed my tank Cyclopeze occasionally and it seems to react well to them. I also use Combovital and everything seems to like that as well, but I don't feed the Gorgonia anything directly. If you have MH lighting you may want to keep it under a ledge. Other than that mine's seems to be doing great with no special help. |

I have a red that is doing great! I feed it a little cyclopeeze every day. I keep it on the bottom of the tank. I only have PC lighting. We have a red one with white polyp but haven't seen any polyps out for months. Is it too late for it? I have some food from Brine Shrimp Direct that is great for these Gorgonia, Golden Pearls and frozen Daphnia. Not all of it sold at the meeting. Call or PM if interested.

The gorgonia frag we got from Mark at January's meeting is starting a new nodule. It really seems to like Golden Pearls. Just thought I'd let you know! I'm not sure what color to call it. It's sort of a burgundy. ------------- Renee and Damon Weimer Tankless in Hawaii |
