i just recently bought a cleaner shrimp and i was just wondering if you are supposed to feed them? and if so what to feed them?

I agree with Shane. I used to feed mine pellet food once in a while too, just for fun. I would hold a single pellet in my hand and the shrimp would come up to my hand and take it. It got so I couldn't put my hand in the tank without two cleaner shrimp climbing all over me. They also came out quite a bit when I was near the tank.

It's really great when kids come over too! Especially if you can get them to hold still while the shrimp crawl all over their arm!

| My cleaner shrimp cleans the water very well. He is the first one there everytime I add food to the tank. Its the fattest one I have ever seen. The funny thing is I have never seen it try to clean any of my fish just the food in the water. It does like to clean my hand and arm when ever I stick it in the tank though. |
