I have a glass tank that needs to be repaired.  It is about 16" wide, 16" deep and 36" tall.  I need to replace the bottom piece.  I will try to get the same thickness glass that it already has, but my questions is this; Should this piece be tempered glass or just regular glass?

The piece on it now must not have been tempered, because it is just cracked and not shattered into little pieces.  I don't know how this happened as it happened almost 20 years ago.  It was fixed at the time with some silicone, (not by me, I just aquired it,) but that is now leaking.  I am going to fix it right this time.

Also for those of you who have done this, do you have a good place to get glass or do I just go to any glass store?

I would call Coreyk.

Not only does he have a connection with glass, but he is without a doubt one of the nicest people in the club (and in the State for that matter).
