No very minimal amout of phytoplex but it was already blooming before that, so turning up the skimmer should help? And probably a dumb question but how do you increase skimming with an ASM G1x skimmer?

Hey FF007 whats new? Finally got my Atl. Blue Tang. I've run polishers and a filter socks to help collect the bloom. Also clean the collection cup and raise the outlet tube ever so slightly to see an increase in skimmate production. The amount of skimmate will have more liquid in it but the micro bubbles wont have to lift the skimmate so far all by theirselves. Change the cup more frequently and keep an eye on salinity with the extra water laeving the system and topoffs to kep up.

I would stop feeding for a few days and feed less after that. Add some macroalgae, feather dusters and/or a clam.
A UV Sterilizer can completely clear the water in 2 days.

Tang still a bit shy but the tang is eating although not while the lights are on outside of the tank. It acclimated well without as much as a fight with the other tangs. The other tangs came out and showed their scalpels and nothing, his was bigger, the rest is history. The Atl. is 1 1/2 inches longer in length and has more girth to the sternum. They act like they are old chums and are schooling together. I do know that I can't add another Atl. Blue to the mix, I saw what he did to the smaller one at the LFS. They had to move him and the other tangs to a different tank. Off I go, talk to you later
