We are new at having LPS/SPS coral in our tank and have a question about the growth of stonies. On several of our recent additions (from the Frag meeting!) a small semi-clear sack/bubble has appeared at the tips. This is especially true on the montipora digitata. Is this growth? I am trying to take pictures but our camera s*cks. All the corals seem to be happy. No die-off of the flesh, polyps out, and the colors look good so I am hoping this is growth.

I have seen the m. digitata form fleshy "bubbles" on the tips in several aquariums. In each of these, the polyps have been incredibly extended. You can expect to see the branches grow as well as the base. I'm not sure that you're witnessing growth on the tips, but I would consider it a good sign.
