First of all I just wanted to say thanks again to the club for hosting the Mountain West Reef Fest!!
and thanks to all the people that put the time into making it what it was!
and Finally thanks again for the opportunity to win such an awesome tank...
This is what it looks like now (or at least thats what it looked like just an hour after the meeting)

Anyway I'm  thinking I might be missing a bit of the filtration or am I wrong?

On the center chamber I think its supposed to look something like this (notice how it has a lid etc)
http://img682.imageshack.us/i/12540400wh.jpg/">

But this center chamber is completely empty (no drainage lid, no bio balls, no sponge?)  however it does have a cool window in the back that could end up being some type of light source for a refugium ...  maybe that would be the way to go? but what to use for a light source ? and shouldn't  it still have a draining lid to keep the center chamber quiet

I'm wondering if something got miss placed ? (Maybe those who have had possession of this tank could look around a little.. who did have possession of it =)? I know I saw it at Fish4U and at Adams house..... did it have bio balls etc? (Do I remember seeing bioballs in it at Adams house on the reef tour or am I imagining that?) its pretty loud right now with the water falling from the first chamber into the second (middle chamber)  luckily I had a sponge to quiet it down for the time being ...  either way I'm really happy with it I'm just curious if I'm missing parts and need to order some or if they could be located??

Thanks again - Nick

Our biocube is really loud in the enter chamber as well/ We took the bioballs out of it and now when it water is low it sounds like a waterfall. I've been thinking of ways to make this quieter. Anyone have any ideas?

I love that tank.  I seen it at fish4u in person before the reeffest.  Does anyone know if these are on sale yet or where to buy one?  I would like to get one.

Nick. I have a BC 29 (not with that awesome hood like yours) and I have modded the center for a refugium. Mine did not come with the conveniently placed window (I had to scrape off the backing), but here is what I did. (If you want bio balls in there, I saved the ones from my tank and they are just sitting in a bag waiting to fulfill their potential)

(I got the idea from another reef forum)
I bought this light at Lowes :
http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=240015-75774-017801997279&lpage=none - http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=240015-75774-017801997279&lpage=none

Then for the housing I cleaned out a tray from a microwave lunch (black plastic like a SmartOnes Mac and Cheese or Lean Cuisine) and lined the tray with foil.

I used zip ties to mount the light in the tray, then I lined the edges of the tray with velcro and lined the surrounding of the hole with velcro and stuck it on.

Total cost: $30 (with velcro and light, plus I got a meal out of it to get a tray)

If I can find the original post where I got the idea from I will post the link (it has pictures explaining this better)

Also, does anyone know if you can buy just the hood, or do you have to buy the whole tank.

So, all the water from the first chamber flows over that top edge into the second chamber and then downward?  If so, I would put a flattened out sock (bridalveil) of carbon down on that and top it off with filter-floss or a sponge. Below that I would absolutely put chaeto in there and a light source from the rear as suggested above...how cool is that!

I need to see if my Aquacube can have the black backing scraped off to make a "window". If so, I am so doing this.

That reminds me. To deal with the water issue, I took the "highly technical"Wink step of adding more water. Adding more water raises the level in chambers 2 (and chamber 3). Thereby giving less distance for water to fall from chamber 1 and decreasing the noise.
