after you have it reagents cost $9 for 25 thats around 40 cents a piece kind of expensive to use but not to bad

They are accurate, and when you take the hassle out of drip reagent testing to me it's worth the extra cost.

I'm a whore and I know it...I just ordered this and their phosphate meter yesterday morning. Have been eyeing their $275 phosphate meter for over a year and whenI saw the pocket version, I was clicking my mouse almost instantly.

They just shipped my phosphate version, but the ALKs are still a few weeks out as they're doing some quality control testing on their batch order right now (according to Hanna).

as many tests I run at work with drops and reagents I hate doing any of it on my tanks I hardly ever tests on my tank I have been doing lots of calcium and alkalinity tests this week though trying to get my new 2 part dosing system calibrated and I wish I had a push button alk test kit it would be worth it

Yeah, getting a doser dialed in takes a lot of daily (even multiple times daily) testing to get it right, but it sure makes up for it once you get it set...then just weekly or so.

However, with the Hanna, because you have to use a reagent pack each time, it still costs money for each test ($0.40 per test at $10 per 25 reagent packs). But it will sure be a lot less clutter and hopefully a lot more reliable. You can buy a reference vial (one time purchase) to pop in and calibrate.

Just so you guys know, these checkers don't work. Hanna is having major issues with them being inaccurate.
