I was blowing debris out of uncured LR with a turkey baster when this strange thing blew out from a hole. At first I thought it was an egg but the tentacle on the end moves and tries to attach to stuff. There is also something constantly moving around inside the body that you can see through the some what transparent skin. It is about half an inch long. Reminds me of something from the Alien movie.

If its that tiny pinkinsh whitish thing, i think its an anemone like aptasia that got blown around and ist trying to attach itself to something. All the tentacles are probably sucked in and covered up.

It is constantly moving around like a grub with a white tentacle at the end. It is bizarre.

I have it in a clear fish container inside my tank. So we'll see if it morphs into something.

I think it is a thin fish. I have never seen it before. It is looking interesting and good.

Idk I have been in the hobby for while now and I have never seen or heard of anything like that. Very strange... Probably some type of worm.

Every time I see a thread like this it amazes me how much life is in our tanks.

Kind of sounds like like a type of peanut worm since you said it was crawling along with a single appendage, they can look pretty bizarre and scrunch their main body up quite a bit so that might be a possibility, I've had a few as hitchhikers.

I had something very similar years ago. It looked like a baby of something. I never figured out what it was.

looks like a sponge... Is it squishy? Does it have transparent tubes coming out of it sometimes?
