I have some bangii cardinalfish that I fear are wild caught and not tank raised. One will eat frozen food like it's going out of style and the other has had maybe two pieces. When it comes to pellet the one will take a piece and then spit it back out, the other isn't even interested. I've had these guys for about a month and am trying to get them to eat small pellet food. I've never had luck with Bangaii eating pellet food or flake food. Mine just won't eat it. He does love frozen food. What I would do is soak the frozen food in garlic before feeding and see if that helps. Garlic is an apatite stimulant. ------------- None at the moment Soon: 72 Gallon Bowfront |

i have 2 tank raised, and they stared eating mysis, but after a couple months they stopped. but they seem so live brine. so mow i mix brine and mysis when i feed ------------- 105 rimless |

I agree. Banggais tend to be picky about what they eat.
Mine won't eat pellets; they just spit them out.
Flake they totally ignore.

I have never seen a bangaii eat pellets. Mine only eat 2 things, Frozen, and algae sheets. No joke they will have a big old piece hanging out their mouth. ------------- This is more than a hobby; its a lifestyle. |

They have tiny baby ones at my petco and wanted to get some but I dont know about them eating. I will have to talk to the peoploe to see what they are eating first and how much. These things are freakking small!

I put flakes in with frozen brine shrimp to thaw and mine has been feeding on flakes for the last 4 yrs. I still feed brine shrimp once a week and he loves and eats both. Will ------------- All things can be cured by salt water, whether by sweat, tears or going to sea. ~Isak Dinesen |
