This guy has been growing on a turbo snail for a few months now. It has a very long, black proboscus. It seems to eat algae but sometimes it seems to go at the turbo which quickly snaps back into its shell. It is very tightly adhered to the turbos shell. Any Idea what it is? Good, bad or neutral?

| There are some snails that drill holes into other snails and eat them; is it possible to get a picture from a different angle? Then again, it might just be something like a key-hole limpet. |

Thanks for the clue man! Your limpet suggestion launched a long survey of web photos and I'm pretty sure I've identified my hitchhiker. Fingernail limpet, Collisella digitalis. Apparently these guys are grazers which squares with my observations so I'll leave him be.
