Not really, I guess... just stunned I hope. Here's the situation... I've been having some snails just quite moving yet they're still coming out of there shells or just rolling onto their backs and sitting there becoming prey to the other critters. I've tested, I've tweaked, done waterchanges, and everything thinkable except... I just realized that I had a stray current from a halide ballast. I just happened to touch my forhead to the reflector in my canopy and zap!!! It even made a spark like those you do when you get zapped by someone else with static electricity. I don't know if this will be the cure and hope if anybody else has had a snail strike and fixed it, that they'll chime in and help. The grounding is redone and tested(with some hesitation... the same way I initially got zapped), now we'll see if there's any differences. Any other suggestions??? BTW, it is just the snails going lathargic and NOTHING else????????????????????????????????????????????

Quick Jason - increase their pay.  We don't want to see a little picket line in your tank .

Let us know what happens.

What types of snails?
What's the phosphate level?
TDS of the RO water?
Running carbon?

Also, though we don't think much about it, individual snails and groups/types of snails do get sick with disease. In this case it will pass but not before a measure of time and loss.
