Woke up to feed the fish this morning and noticed my largest emerald crab had parts scattered all over.DeadDead What could do this? I don't have any ideas

Suspects:
Diamond Goby
Tiger Stripe Jawfish
Lyretail Anthias
Green Chromis
Clownfish
Flame Angel
Bicolor Angel
Blue tang
Yellow Tang
Tomini Tang
Bangai Cardinal
Neon Goby
Small Hermit Crabs
two smaller emeralds

Are you sure it didn't molt?

I would keep a look out for him and see if he just happened to molt.

When crab and shrimp molt the exoskeleton falls apart more easily than when the animal dies in its exoskeleton.

the more I read up on it the more I think it is molting. I've seen the shrimp molt, and they shed a layer that I can see through. Never seen an emerald molt, so I didn't know what to do. everything was there, legs, claws, body, etc. Didn't look like there was anything in it though.
