Its kinda hard to tell just by looking at it, but the skimmer looks fine . you might want  a way to vary the height of the inlet pvc pipe.  That will allow you to adjust the water level in the riser chamber and fine tune it.

I believe the ball valve is there for just that purpose.

I guess my major concern is the ball valve. It should be a gate valve instead. A gate valve allows fine adjustment which is what an ETS Skimmer requires, even if it's just a copy.

Very good!  Mark's right, I think in the long run you'll be happier with a gate valve on your skimmer outlet.

Ok I Am Doing This On My  Own And I Am Not Finish With The Setup Thais Why I Post Pictures To Show What I Am Doing And Learn From Other Mistakes I Guess It Happen To You.

About The Close Loop The Tips Will Be Closed And I Am Adding A More Power full Pump  And Yes I Am Using PVC For Every ting This Is Just For Me To See How All Is Going To Be I Have To Move Thais Why Is Not Set Up Yet Am Just Getting Ready Still Much To Go I am open for  Your Opinion And Everyone Ells If Any One Have Any Other Idea On How This Will Work Or Not Feel Free To Add Or Ask

mark if you read what am doing i have 4 more fans on the top off the canopy drawing air in and 4 more drawing air out i will post more pictures  soon the ballast are in the bottom of the tank and i am placing 8 more 4 in the refeugium and 4 drawing in and out plus i am making a second cabinet to install more equipment like the chiller and kalk reactor that all so will have fans i have 4 computer power supply which i will be using to power all the 12v i need

Ok I Guess You Not Understanding Me I Will Place 4 Fans On The Top And 2 Inside The Canopy

The Chiller Is A Diy Chiller I Have A Baby And She Likes To Wonder Around This Chiller I Have To Make Some Type Of Inclosure For It Which It Will Have A Opening For Ventilation

my Good Friend From This Site Is Seti007 I Ask Him Lot Of ?? About What Is Good Or What Is Bad
And I Have A 20g Which Is Working Really Good For The Last 5 Months With My Diy Skimmer Refeugium So I Do Ask Before I Make Something Or Research About It I Before I Built This Are My Ideas And A Deferent Way To Try Make It Work Some People Like To Go With What Every One Have I Don't Like It I Like To Make New Ting Try New Stuff  I Calculate What I Am Going To Do Not Do it Like I Don't Care How It Comes Out Ask Me Before You Jugged Me and if i am wrong let me know isn't this a hobby not a competition

and like a said the closed loop openigs will be reduce to create presure

There are 11 openings in all but all of them are submerged at the same time so technically it is a closed loop. The inlet to the pump is in the back corner and the pipe drops down to the pump input. The output of the pump is whats driving the pvc manifold. On startup he will have to prime the pump to get it to work, after that, it should work just fine as long as both the manifold outlets and the intake of the closed loop stay submerged.

Hey Manuel, GREAT work, I think you have done an awesome job.

I have a question about gluing acrylic I hope you can help me with. When you glue the edges do you need to polish them first? Or is the edge that is left from cutting with a fine tooth saw ok? I am concerned about having a good watertight seal on a ruff edge and from the work that you have done I am sure you have experienced this before.

Any help you can offer is appreciated.
